Bell Ringers

Bells have rung out from Great Gransden church tower from at least 1658.

Bell ringing practice takes place every Thursday evening from 7:30 until 9:00pm and we also ring for Sunday services, weddings and other special occasions.

There are currently 10 ringers in the team, but new recruits are always made welcome, and expert tuition is given using silenced bells and a computer.

Please contact the Tower Captain Sheila George on sjg@nutbells.plus.com if you would like to learn more about bells and bell ringing, or would like to learn to ring. It is a fascinating activity and we welcome all new ringers and those who have learnt elsewhere.

The church clock is also integrated with the bells, playing "tunes" on the bells every three hours.

The Gransden Bellringers have a brand-new webpage as well as a Facebook page where details of all their activities can be seen. They can also be found on Twitter or Instagram.
